4th of July fireworks in SouthWood, 2009

by Nathan Cross on June 26th, 2009

The 4th of July celebration in SouthWood is my favourite community event.  The day starts of with the Patriotic Parade, residents and friends decorate bicycles and pets even themselves and walk through the streets of SouthWood. (9:30 a.m on Baringer Hill)

The celebration by the lake is about recognizing the service that our Veterans have provided us.  (10:00 am – noon)

Don’t forgett about the games and contests like rock climbing, hammer striker, seed spitting, and pie eating.  And of course there is always good food that can be purchased.

What would the day be without an incredible fireworks display.  The senery is perfect as the sunsets over Central Park Lake.  Amazing fireworks, family and friends,  what more do you need… maybe a good bottle of wine and a blanket to sit on.  (sunset)
