How do I get my child into the Florida State University School (Florida High)?

Florida State University School is a K-12 Charter School sponsored by Florida State University.  There are approximately 1600 students that represent a population typical of other schools in Florida. FSUS has strong academics and athletic programs. Florida State University School (Florida High) is located in the SouthWood community.

One of the benefits to living in SouthWood is that your kids have an opportunity to attend Florida State University School.  Residents in SouthWood have a certain number of seats set aside for their children at FSUS.

What you need to get your child into FSUS.

Current residents of SouthWood need to provide a copy of their warranty deed, drivers license and their child’s birth certificate.

Future residents of SouthWood need to provide a copy of their executed real estate contract.

Breakdown of seat availability at FSUS as of (12/08/08)

Currently there is a waiting list for the elementary school (K-5) at FSUS

Seats are available for the middle school and high school.
